![]() In the 16th and 17th Centuries, Red Kites were one of the most common birds of prey in England and yet by the 19th Century the entire population had been wiped out as they were considered a threat to livestock. Part of one of the longest running conservation programmes to reintroduce Red Kites back into England after their numbers plummeted. One of 3 or 4 species of Kites (classification is under revision) including the Black Kite and Yellow-billed Kite. Under the circumstances Red Kites should only be handled using gauntlets or strong welding gloves, holding round the middle and holding the wings folded against the body, keeping the bird held away from you. When we switched it to the stool option, my 5-year-old boy loved sitting on it at the breakfast bar, so I can see this highchair having a long use in our household.Īnd, as I might have already mentioned, we were totally sold on the removable flexi tray – it’s such a simple but effective idea and saves so much time and effort with cleaning in the early, messy days of weaning.Red Kites have a very sharp, hooked beak which is designed for tearing meat, they also have long sharp talons which can cause a nasty injury if handled without protection. The potential to use this in 4 different ways gives this highchair a real edge. What is your favourite feature of the Feed Me Combi? It comes with harnesses and instructions on how to fix safely to a solid chair to use in the booster seat mode. Once fully constructed as a highchair you’d struggle to fit it in the car, but you can easily remove the seat shell to use as an on-the-go booster seat. The seat top clips off very easily, which would further reduce the weight of the chair if you were struggling to move from room to room. ![]() It felt very light to me and I didn’t have any issues carrying it around. The highchair weighs 9kg (significantly lighter than the Nova Evolutionary at 15kg, but double the 4.6kg Evomove Nomi). There are no wheels on this highchair, so once assembled you have to lift up the Feed Me Combi to move around. On the upside, it’s such an attractive seat that, for us, it became a feature of the dining room, rather than something you’d want to tidy away. Assembled dimensions in highchair mode are H97xW61xD65cm, so make sure you factor this in when considering your purchase. The Feed Me Combi highchair doesn’t fold, so once it’s assembled this is the size of chair you are dealing with. It also quite easily slips off the plastic seat shell for a more thorough clean, or can be swiftly wiped down in situ with a damp cloth and mild detergent – it’s not recommended to submerge the seat in water. The padded seat itself is not heavily stitched so there aren’t lots of crevices for food to get stuck in. I found it really easy to adjust the sliders around the waist and shoulders for a recommended snug fit, and had no problem getting Freddie in and out. There’s a 5-point safety harness, which will help keep your baby in a comfortable position too. I was really impressed with the padding on the chair, which looked nice and squishy, and Freddie certainly looked and sounded happy in the seat during feeding. How comfortable does your baby look when inside? The height of the chair isn’t adjustable in the highchair mode – unless you count the lower chair option, where you swap the highchair legs for the lower chair legs. ![]() How adjustable is the Feed Me Combi highchair?Īs the Feed Me Combi is suitable from 6 months, when baby is able to sit unaided, it’s a fixed seat with no recline options, unlike some suitable-from-birth models, including the Chicco Polly Magic (£139). This age range is the same as both the Evomove Nomi and Tutti Bambini Nova Evolutionary, however at around half the price, the Red Kite Feed Me Combi is a much more affordable option. ![]()
